The 4-seat Aston Martin DB9 is the ultimate luxury grand tourer, both in coupe and convertible "Volante" form. Underlying its stunning bodywork is a chassis that delivers incredible stiffness. The car is also incredibly well-balanced, with weight distribution of 51/49 percent front to rear. The independent suspension features 3-stage adaptive damping, with Normal, Sport and Track modes providing corresponding levels of performance depending upon driver preference and driving conditions. Incredible stopping power comes courtesy of ventilated carbon ceramic brakes. The DB9 rides on 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, with Z-rated Pirelli tires providing the grip.
The DB9 Carbon rides on 10-spoke 20-inch wheels and includes exclusive exterior and interior carbon fiber accents, as well as premium leather upholstery with contrasting stitching. Other touches include brake calipers in yellow, red, gray or black.
All DB9s are powered by an aluminum 6.0L V12, which for 2016 produces 540 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. The big engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with a limited-slip differential and delivers quite athletic performance, with 0?60 mph coming in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph.
Standard equipment in the DB9 includes a full-grain leather interior with walnut and graphite accents, heated mirrors, automatic HID headlights, automatic temperature control, satellite navigation and satellite radio, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, a premium audio system and a trunk-mounted umbrella.
Optional equipment can take the DB9 to another level. Aston Martin makes sure there are a multitude of ways to make your DB9 unique. Options include 3 alternate wheel styles, painted brake calipers and carbon fiber exterior trim. Heated front seats are optional, as is an upgraded Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system. The rear seats can even be uninstalled if desired. Aston Martin offers 35 paint options and 31 interior leather colors but if the right color isn't among them, Aston Martin will paint and upholster a DB9 in any color the customer provides.
